The HP Pavilion Laptop PC is powerful entertainment PCs.

It also downloads and plays movies, and burns them to CDs and DVDs. It prints photos and text right on the very same CDs and DVDs to create personalized, silk-screen-quality labels. It efficiently manages your music library and play lists, and downloads singles, EPs and albums from online music stores. Use it to download, organize, categorize and fix your photos. Then design and play photo slide shows with sound.

Record, pause, replay and fast-forward live TV

Like TV? You’ll love the HP Pavilion Laptop PC. With a single remote control ^*, you can use your on-screen programming guide to record a TV show every time it airs, making it simple to record an entire season.

And while you’re watching a show and the phone rings or you want to hit the kitchen for more chips and drinks, just press Pause. While you’re away, the HP Pavilion Laptop PC records your show in-real-time onto a massive hard drive. When you return, just press Play and pick up the program exactly where you left off. This makes the HP Pavilion Laptop PC ideal for replaying TV programs, movies and sports, especially when you miss a line of dialogue, or want to see a game-winning play over and over. You can even fast-forward through commercials if you want to.

Download and play movies

Why leave the house to run to the video store across town or rely on a DVD subscription service to enjoy movies at home? With the HP Pavilion Laptop PC, you just buy the movies you want right on screen from your regular online provider. Download your choices directly into your PC and from there, you have the choice of watching a movie right away, or keep it safe and sound on your hard drive to watch when you want to.

Make a movie. Burn it to DVD

You can also transfer home DVD movies onto the HP Pavilion Laptop PC and play them back whenever you wish.

Connect a digital video cam to the HP Pavilion Laptop PC and turn your laptop into a fully equipped home film production studio. Easily import vacation, party, wedding or other footage into the PC and use included muvee Auto Producer software to organize and edit. Add a music soundtrack, create special effects and include title displays and credits. Once you’re done, burn it to DVD.

Personalized, professional-quality CD/DVD labels

Once you’ve perfected and burned your movies and music onto a DVD or CD, the HP Pavilion Laptop PC makes it just as easy to print personalized labels, too. How easy? As easy as ejecting your newly burned disc, turning it over, reinserting it into the drive and clicking Print on your monitor.

Using LightScribe Direct Disc Labeling technology built into the HP Pavilion Laptop PC, you can produce silk-screen-quality grayscale labels featuring photos, montages, original graphics and text onto LightScribe-enabled discs in a matter of minutes.

Download and transfer music

Using an Internet music service, you can preview, purchase, download, play and record all your favorite songs, albums and custom-mixed play lists. Then, transfer all your music directly onto your favorite MP3 player in the blink of an eye.

Bring old vinyl, audio cassettes and VHS into the digital age

Got a shelf or two of classic vinyl LPs you’d love to listen to in the car or transfer to your MP3 player? The HP Pavilion Laptop PC has all the connections you need to transfer precious vinyl LPs, audio cassettes and VHS memories onto long-lasting CDs and DVDs.

Organize, fix and share photos

The HP Pavilion Laptop PC is also your own personal photo lab. Download photos directly from a PictBridge-enabled camera via an USB port or use the multiformat memory card reader of the HP Pavilion Laptop PC.

Use included HP Photosmart Software and click-on screen commands to remove red-eye, crop, resize and brighten dark areas in your photos. Plus create custom slide shows with music. And burn them onto CD or DVD.

Pump up the volume

The HP Pavilion Laptop PC is built to effortlessly deliver pure stereo surround sound with crisp, clear highs and rich, full-throttled base. So it should come as no surprise that it comes fully equipped with audio output capable of cranking out up to 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound. This means you’ve got the freedom to sit back and relax with concert hall sound every time you turn on the TV, or turn up the tunes.

All this and a powerful home PC, too

Of course, when you’re not using it as your home entertainment center, the HP Pavilion Laptop PC is also the premiere PC to use for everything else in the house. Things like creating correspondence and homework, running financial spreadsheets and budgets, making and displaying PowerPoint presentations, handling e-mail and surfing the Internet.

Ideal for music, photos, and videos

Our Pavilion Laptop PCs features our latest version of QuickPlay, which launches DVDs, music, and photos at the touch of a button. An included remote tucks away in the ExpressCard slot and lets you control QuickPlay from up to 10 feet away. Transfer photos from your digital camera to the laptop via the 5-in-1 digital media card reader. You can turn pictures into movies, edit video, and create CDs and DVDs.
