GS stands for "Geprüfte Sicherheit" (proven safety) and is recognized in various countries, although it is primarily a voluntary German certification. By issuing a GS-certificate, an accredited independent test house confirms compliance of a test sample with all applicable Technical Regulatory requirements imposed on this product by the EU Directives and German law.
GS requirements usually include requirements for product safety, EMC, acoustics and more.
Ergonomics requirements are included for Visual Workplace Equipment like PCs, Monitors, Laptops, Keyboards and PC mice. |
